Go Ahead for Morrison’s Island Scheme
A €6m investment in Morrison’s Island has been given the go ahead by Cork City Council.
We welcome this decision. Since the floods in 2009, we have consistently campaigned for public investment in city centre flood protection. The Morrison’s Island scheme will deliver on this, as well as kickstart regeneration of this part of the city.
As part of the scheme we will see a reduction in central parking spaces. If this is a concern to you, please get in touch so together we can work on finding alternative solutions.
Construction is expected to begin before the end of the year.
