Speaking at the switch-on of the Christmas lights, Conor Healy, Chief Executive of Cork Chamber said: “Cork’s Christmas lights cast a festive glow over the city and really create an exciting atmosphere for both locals and visitors to enjoy during the holiday season. This Christmas, I encourage the people of Cork to visit the city, soak up the wonderful atmosphere, and avail of the great value and choice offered by our local businesses for Christmas shopping.”

Reacting to the 400 new jobs created by Voxpro, Mr. Healy said: “The growth of Voxpro from a small local business into a global market leader is truly impressive. From its establishment 20 years ago, Voxpro now counts leading companies such as Google, Nest, Stripe and Airbnb among its clients and is set to employ more than 1400 people. Voxpro, which last year was awarded Cork Chamber Company of the year, continues to be a strong ambassador for Cork as an exciting place to set up and grow a business with global reach, as evidenced by the opening of Voxpro’s Californian offices.
