Travel grants available to attend ‘Financing collaborative R&D in the Creative Industries’, Liverpool, 28th-29th June 2016

As part of the Creative Week at the International Festival for Business (IFB) in Liverpool (UK), the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) are organising an interactive workshop and matchmaking event called ‘Finance, Creative and Digital Solutions to Succeed in Collaborative R&D’. This event will offer SMEs, universities and organisations the opportunity to:

  • Refine their problem-solving projects and communicate it more effectively to partners, investors and customers. The workshop will be delivered by Steve Rawling who has 17 years’ combined experience as a journalist and media trainer at BBC.
  • Have 1:1 meetings with SMEs, universities and organisations to discuss cross-border commercial and research partners
  • Learn about taking products to market
  • Meet bid writers, advisers and technology transfer specialists

EEN is also supporting the Gateway2Finance event on 29th-30th June 2016 and this will enable companies to pitch their projects to investors who have already earmarked GB£2 million to invest, learn new skills through workshops and expand their networks during 2 high-profile receptions in Liverpool. EEN Northwest has secured several £250 individual travel grants to incentivise overseas SMEs to attend.

Interested participants may wish to note that Ryanair serves Liverpool from Cork Airport 5 times weekly and Aer Lingus serves Manchester (approx. 55 km from Liverpool) twice daily.
