Cork Regional Chambers network welcomes step in right direction
Cork Regional Chambers network Chair, Maura Hunter, warmly welcomed yesterday’s launch by Minister Heather Humphreys of the Town and Village Renewal Scheme. In welcoming the funding announcement, Ms. Hunter stated, “this is indeed a step in the right direction and is a positive scheme for rural towns and villages around the Cork region and indeed nationally. While yesterday’s announcement of €10million to be allocated to support regeneration projects is progress, it is certain that rural communities must maintain pressure into the future to see this funding scheme continued and increased, and directed to not only renewal projects but to projects that will facilitate the sustainable development and resilience of our rural communities into the future”.
