Cork City Development Plan launched
 

The draft Cork City Development Plan ‘Our City, Our Future’ was launched this week by Cork City Council. It aims to provide a transformative blueprint for Cork as the city embarks upon an exciting phase of growth and change – with sustainability, quality of life, social inclusion, and climate resilience aiming to be at the plan’s core.

 

Key to this will be housing, economic development, public realm renewal, transport, more amenity spaces and community services in existing built-up areas, using the internationally-recognised 15-minute city model

Ongoing reopening of indoor hospitality
 

The ongoing reopening of indoor hospitality businesses took place this week.  Both the Digital COVID Certificate and the HSE Vaccination Card are acceptable proofs of immunity and businesses and customers alike are urged to fully engage with the guidelines (available on the Fáilte Ireland website) for safe reopening.

EU Datathon 2021: Innovative Ideas for Tomorrow's Businesses
 

EU Datathon is an annual open data competition organised by the Publications Office of the EU since 2017.

 

Organised under the first-ever EU Open Data Days, EU Datathon 2021 started in March with the call to data enthusiasts worldwide to propose ideas for applications using open data from the portal data.europa.eu

 

Over the next 5 months, the finalist teams will develop their proposals into fully functioning and marketable apps addressing societal challenges aligned with the priorities of the European Commission.

 

Network partners along with their client SMEs interested in app development, data visualisation are warmly invited to attend the EU Open Data Days.
