University College Cork Springboard programmes - students available
 |
University College Cork Springboard programmes offer people hoping to return to the job market and those who are looking to upskill or change career direction, an opportunity to develop their skills further. As part of these programmes, the students must undertake a 12 - week work placement. Following is a brief description about the programmes: - The Higher Diploma in Business Language and Culture in East Asia programme introduces participants the cultural understanding, languages and practical skills required to successfully interact, negotiate and trade with businesses in East Asia. Participants are looking to secure placement within a business that has exposure to/does business with East Asia. The Higher Diploma in Advanced Languages & Global Communications offers the student the necessary language competence, as well as intercultural skills to be able to do business with markets of particular strategic interest to Ireland, both in Europe and beyond. Participants are ideally looking for a placement with European language exposure. Students must undertake 12 weeks minimum, ideally on a paid work placement, with an ideal start of May 2017.
