The next census will take place on Sunday April 24th, 2016. Everybody present in the country next Sunday night is legally required to be included in the Census. Census enumerators are currently visiting every home in Ireland to deliver census forms. Every home and apartment should now have a Census Form. Cork Chamber in association with Network Cork is hosting an executive lunch on Friday 22nd April at the Ambassador Hotel, focussing on Women in Leadership and featuring special guest speaker Deirdre Somers, Chief Executive of the Irish Stock Exchange (ISE).
Deirdre, a Cork native, was appointed Chief Executive of the Irish Stock Exchange (ISE) in June 2007. During her tenure the ISE modernised its structure, expanded its services domestically and internationally, rising to #1 stock exchange globally in fixed income and funds listings. The ISE was awarded Best Place to Work in Ireland (medium sized companies) just last month. She is currently President of the Federation of European Securities Exchanges. Deirdre is outspoken about the importance of the role of markets as a relevant and accessible funding source for companies, particularly for high potential SMEs and is looking forward to sharing her views with the people of Cork.

He joined the Bank as Chief Executive Corporate Banking in 2003 from Royal Bank of Scotland. Within Bank of Ireland, Richie has also held the position of Chief Executive of the Retail Ireland division of Bank of Ireland. Richie has over thirty years’ experience in all aspects of financial services and is a Fellow of the Institute of Banking.
