Join South West Irish companies and stakeholders in the East Midlands UK
3-4 July 2019
 

A delegation of companies and stakeholders from South West Ireland will visit the Midlands region in the UK on 3-4 July.

 

The visit offers a unique opportunity for businesses from the South West region (with a particular emphasis on Agri-tech, ICT, Cyber, Precision Engineering and Manufacturing sectors) as well as stakeholder organisations including representatives from local government, academia, and enterprise and development agencies.

 

This mission is coordinated by Cork Chamber and Enterprise Europe Network with the British Embassy in Dublin and the UK Department of International Trade (DIT).

Cork Chamber and the Enterprise Europe Network is supporting the UK Department for International Trade in its hosting of a 'Scaling in Agritech' breakfast in Cork on Friday 14th June. 

In the ever evolving Agri-Tech industry, it is more important than ever for scaling Agri-Tech companies to innovate and develop partnerships.

 

At the breakfast: 

  • Meet Harper Adams’s leading academics to learn about their pioneering work including 'The Hands Free Hectare' and 'Hands Free Farm' projects.
  • Understand opportunities for R&D collaboration with Harper Adams University.
  • Learn about opportunities and supports from The UK Department for International Trade.
  • Avail of an opportunity to be selected to participate in a South West Ireland delegation in a Trade Mission/StudyTour to Harper Adams University and the UK Manufacturing Technology Centre on 3 & 4 July to include a prestigious International networking reception in the magnificent Coombe Abbey.

SeaFest 2019 in Cork
June 7-9
 

Seafest, Ireland's maritime largest festival, takes place in Cork city next weekend. The programme is jam packed with FREE activities - something for everyone to enjoy. Visitors are encouraged to take public transport where possible. Some road closures and diversions will be in place.

 

Traders across the region are encouraged to celebrate a maritime theme in their window displays and by 'going blue'.
