Introducing the European Marine Innovation Database
 |
Cork Chamber recognises the vast economic potential of the Maritime Sector for Cork businesses and is currently participating in a European Project funded through the ‘Regions of Knowledge’ Seventh Framework Programme called the Resource Efficiency Maritime Capacity Project (REMCAP). REMCAP is a collaborative project involving 14 partner organisations from six European maritime clusters The main objective of REMCAP is to develop the clusters' ability to promote innovation and enable sustainable growth across the key markets of offshore wind; ocean energy; algae; fishing; aquaculture; blue biotech; aggregates and dredging and sea bed mining. One of the biggest achievements of the REMCAP project to date has been the development of the European Marine Innovation Database. The European Marine Database is the most comprehensive database of marine projects in Europe in the field of marine resource efficiency and was developed through the REMCAP Project. The online database provides a comprehensive list of the most relevant Marine Science and Technology Projects funded by the different national or European mechanisms and is accessible here.
For more information on the REMCAP project view the project website here. You can connect with the project via the REMCAP Linkedin Group here and Facebook page here.
