Dynamic HR Business Partner

Course Dates: 16th & 30th September

Member Rate: €260.00

The programme aims to develop participants’ skills and influence as a valued Human Resources Business Partner, to enable them to clearly define and present the value of HR to business leaders through effective use of a suite of tools and techniques.

It is designed to help participants to enhance their ability to influence across the business. The course also provides an overview to managing some of the key challenges for HR business partners.

It will enable participants to:

  • understand the roles and functions that the HR team play within the organisation
  • develop an awareness of strategies to increase the value they bring to the organisation
  • acquire the skills to effectively prepare and plan for consulting and influencing senior leaders
  • cultivate a powerful style in presenting a value proposition
  • explore ways to identify and deal with common barriers to achieving success
  • develop a comprehensive talent management process

The course presentation will draw from Dave Ulrich’s ‘HR Competency Model’ to help participants explore the competencies they exhibit or wish to exhibit and develop in their roles. Participants will receive Ulrich’s book 'HR from the Outside In: Six Competencies for the Future of Human Resources'.

Learners who successfully complete this course will:

  • Obtain practical techniques, strategies and skills for consulting with and influencing others
  • Be more confident and convincing in presenting HR proposals for investment to senior leaders
  • Confidently identify and present clear measurements of returns on investment for HR initiatives
  • Discover the value that the HR business partner can provide to the business
  • Understand all aspects of talent management and develop a plan for implementing or enhancing existing company processes
  • Understand the complexities of leading change in the organisation and develop the confidence to do so using simple tools and techniques

This course is ideal for anyone who wishes to improve their HR consulting skills, enhance their competence in measuring and communicating the value they bring to the leadership table and use these skills in the development of an effective talent management process and in leading change initiatives.
