Social Newsmaker - How to tell your story Online

The aim of this half-day conference is to create 100 new social newsmakers in Cork. In the last five years, a revolutionary shift has taken place in the way we consume news. The news is now finding us directly through social media. According to a recent study by the Wall Street Journal’s digital network, 75% of all online news in the USA is now sourced through social media sharing. Are you, and your organisation, prepared for this change? Or do you just send press releases to the traditional media? Do you want to know how you can become part of the social news revolution?

Over the last 3 years we developed MediaHQ.com and now share hundreds of stories every week through social media and traditional emails to journalists. We know how it works and want to share it with you. We will have a mix of practical training on social newsmaking and sharing, and case studies from some of Ireland’s most dynamic social newsmakers including Irish Rail, The Irish Defence Forces, Cully & Sully and @IrishMammies. We are offering a discount to Cork Chamber members for the entire month of February. To book call 01 473 2050 or email cathal@mediacontact.ie
