Focus Ireland's Shine a Light Night – Give one night to change a lifetime

Focus Ireland’s Shine a Light Night is an executive night with a difference! You could call it a networking event for Ireland’s business leaders but instead of dinner and speeches, its sleeping bags and conviviality in Cork’s historic City Gaol or Dublin’s Iveagh Gardens. It’s a night to raise funds and awareness of homelessness. Since 2012 over 120 business leaders have slept out and raised over €675,000 to support our work.

Past participants include amongst others Aviva, Voxpro, Brown Thomas, EazyCity, Cork Chamber of Commerce, Hopkins Communications, Cork Innovates, Electric, Irish Hotels Federation, H+A Marketing+PR, Deloitte, Paypal, Bord Gais, Glanbia, Google, The Irish Times, Castle Leslie, KBC, BOI, The Doyle Collection and Toyota. Cork Heritage Open Day a Great Success for Cork Chamber

On a sunny Saturday, over 200 people visited Fitzgerald House, home to Cork Chamber for Cork Heritage Open Day. This is the first year Cork Chamber joined over 40 other buildings and Heritage sites in Cork on the Heritage Trail, which took place on the 23rd August. Visitors got to explore Fitzgerald House, orginally built circa 1820 and saw the many original Georgian features that are still visible today.
