The magnitude of the housing shortage and its impact on economic growth was conveyed to the Taoiseach during his visit to Cork Chamber. The focus of the meeting, which was attended by industry representatives, some of the region’s largest employers as well as senior politicians including Minister Simon Coveney, was to identify solutions that would enable Cork to deliver housing for its growing population and employment base.

Cork Chamber is drafting a budget submission to government ahead of budget 2024. The government faces many choices as it formulates Budget 2024 - as members, you have the opportunity to share your business priorities and views on issues such as housing, energy independence, infrastructural investment cost of living and more.
