Grant Thornton Virtual GT5K
 

The Grant Thornton Virtual GT5K will return on Wednesday 8th September. This year we’re asking you to #DoItForDementia as the registration fee will be split between Alzheimer’s Society of Ireland and supporting up and coming Athletes in Athletics Ireland’s junior programmes.

 

We invite you to register as a team or an individual, run your best 5K at any point on the 8th September, register your time, then watch the leaderboard to see how you’re getting on.

This week we met with Simon Harris TD, the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science and discussed the direction of policies that shape our education ecosystem. Access to a talented workforce plays an important role for our indigenous and international businesses along with the nurturing of research, innovation and development of our science sectors. The Minister shared his vision of ensuring that everyone can reach their full potential and of creating the appropriate pathways for access to education to deliver this.

Small Business Assistance Scheme for Covid now OPEN
 

The Small Business Assistance Scheme for COVID (SBASC) is now open for a second round of applications from both SMEs and microenterprises. Businesses that received the grant in the first round can receive a second grant provided they are still eligible.

 

Following on from a recent Government decision, businesses operating from non-rateable premises, such as a home office or hot-desk are also eligible to apply. This SBASC is open for applications at all Local Authorities’ websites around the country.

The Draft Cork County Development Plan 2021 has been prepared and is now open for consultation up to midnight on Thursday 1st July 2021. All-Ireland Pollinator Plan
Business Supporter
 

We are delighted to have signed up as a business supporter to the All-Ireland Pollinator Plan. As the first Chamber of Commerce in Ireland to have signed up, we pledge to carry out pollinator friendly actions on our grounds for the next 5 years.
