Flying visit to London for the Irish Funds' London Alternative Investment Seminar and the Embassy of Ireland, Great Britain event in partnership with London Irish Business Society Finding Your Place in the World of Work. Former Lord Mayor of London Vincent Keaveny CBE spoke of the close ties between Ireland and the UK which was especially poignant as it marked the 10th Anniversary of President Higgins official visit to the UK; a high point in Irish British relations. The Irish Ambassador to the UK, H.E. Martin Fraser kindly hosted the London Irish Business Society event. The Irish London business community remains as vibrant and connected to 'home' as ever. It was great to see such a engaged audience and a strong Cork presence there too!

Busy few days in Boston and New York promoting Cork as a destination for IFS investment, business and collaboration as part of the Irish Funds US Seminars. In New York, Minister Helen McEntee spoke of the increasing importance of the funds industry to Ireland's economy. She stressed how the regions and our "second capital city in Cork" are crucial to Ireland's offering and the continued success of the sector nationally. There was a very positive atmosphere in both cities with a real sense that the Irish American funds industry connection will continue to prosper.
