Design POP is taking place from May 17th-19th and will have speakers and workshops in some of Cork's most iconic buildings along with bespoke pavilions dotted around the city.

EirGrid has begun an eight-week consultation on its flagship Celtic Interconnector project, and all stakeholders and communities are invited to submit their feedback.
The Cork Chamber team recently met with National Transport Authority CEO, Anne Graham, and Head of Public Affairs, Dermot O'Gara. The discussions centered on the growing urgency and demand for public transport investment in Cork to increase commuter options, services & infrastructure.
The 200th Annual General Meeting of the Cork Chamber will be held on Monday 29th April in the Imperial Hotel, Cork at 6pm at which the President will be elected and new Board members will be announced.
The 165 tonne Mary Elmes Bridge, will be transported by barge from the Cobh shipping yard where it was assembled to its city centre location next month.
The pedestrian and cycle bridge will connect Patricks Quay and Merchants Quay and will be used by up to 11,000 people each day.
It is anticipated that traffic diversions will begin on Merchants Quay and St Patrick’s Quay from 10pm on Friday May 17th as the cranes are erected. Alternative traffic routes will be in operation.
