Bensons Workwear

Bensons Workwear was established in 2012 by Fashion Designer, Mr. Beni Moussa, in attempt to revitalise a dying trade in Ireland. Bensons traditionally manufactured Workwear, Sportswear and Schoolwear. When the pandemic hit, Bensons diversified its product offering to manufacture high quality Medical Garments for the Health Service Executive. We worked day and night to accelerate our production to support frontline workers and went from production capacity of 400 Gowns per day to over 3,000 units daily.

We are proud to say that we have become the first manufacturer in Ireland to receive CE Certification and we were accredited with ISO 9001:2015 quality system certification in 2020. Bensons won the Gold Star Business Award in July 2020 and the Irish Business Design Challenge award in November 2020. We have also started producing Premium Disposable Aprons on a roll, and are consistently expanding our range of Healthcare products. We welcome you to visit our newly launched website for our healthcare range.

Dear Chamber Member,

I hope you, your families and colleagues are well.

It was a pleasure to share in the exciting announcement earlier today that Bob Savage is the 2020 recipient of the Award for Outstanding Contribution to Business. Bob has contributed hugely to the development of the region and I would like to extend the warmest of congratulations to Bob. We have captured a special video message to share with you here.

Many households are counting down the sleeps to Christmas, and businesses are counting down the days to Brexit. Our dedicated Brexit page is updated regularly with information and relevant events, and our International Team welcome any queries you have as you navigate any changes to your trade.

Over the next two weeks we will host our final training and events of 2020, the year that has catapulted our meet’n’greet to zoom’n’chat. While the format of these occasions moved swiftly online last spring, the calibre of the year's events and speakers was uncompromised. Thank you to the attendees who joined us in what was our busiest schedule ever, of 120+ events with 7,000 registrations.

While the challenges our communities faced this year are undisputed, we look forward to continued resilience, steady recovery through 2021 along with the fortitude a vaccine will bring.

As we move towards a welcome new year I encourage your feedback and input. Please feel free to contact me at any time on 087 9471858 or via email HERE.

Warm regards,

Conor Healy

CEO
