Get a team together and take on the Grant Thornton Corporate 5K Team Challenge around some of Cork's greatest landmarks.

Enter as part of a company team of four with three categories available: male, female and mixed. The official score for each team is determined by the recorded times of the registered team members, with accurate chip timing for all participants.

Enhancing Your Environment
Little Island Road Closure
April 18 - April 23
 

Little Island overbridge is to close for Easter weekend upgrade works. 

 

The closure will be from 8pm on Thursday, April 18 until 6am on Tuesday, April 23.

 

Pedestrian access across the bridge will be maintained.

Irish Waters Leakage Reduction Programme
 

The installation of the new water main on the south side of MacCurtain Street is nearing completion with a short section at the Kent Station side of the Summerhill Junction to be installed this week.

 

This will facilitate the connection to the newly laid water main on the Lower Glanmire Road and ultimately provide a more reliable water supply when commissioned.

 

These works are being undertaken at night and are due to be complete before the weekend.

The 200th Annual General Meeting of the Cork Chamber will be held on Monday 29th April in the Imperial Hotel, Cork at 6pm at which the President will be elected and new Board members will be announced.

The first economic trends survey of 2019 reports on member experiences during January, February and March. The Q1 survey included a focus on international market diversification and the influence of trade agreements on SME business practices. It also shows that business confidence is on the rise, while the employment out look is strong.
