Urbanism Congress Kicks off

Ahead of the official launch, the Academy of Urbanism last night kicked off its ‘Cities on the Rise’ congress in Cork with a key business event attended by 60 leaders from across Cork’s business community.

We were delighted to organise this event which was sponsored by Affidea and held in the Vertigo Suite in Cork County Council from where attendees enjoyed an uninterrupted view of Cork’s skyline and the future opportunity for developing the city’s footprint.

Irish Water Information evening

Irish Water will shortly begin a project to replace approximately 4km of old water mains in Cork city centre which will result in significant improvements in the water supply for local customers. Prior to the commencement of this work Irish Water, in partnership with Cork City Council, will host a drop in information evening relating to the planned water network improvement works.

 

This will take place in the Metropole Hotel, MacCurtain Street, from 5pm to 7pm on Thursday, July 5. Members of the public are invited to drop in, meet the project team and find out more about the proposed programme of works. Irish Water will be available to meet with local businesses from 3-4pm on the day.
