International Opportunities for your Business

Meet new business partners at Space 2016, Rennes (France), 14th-15th September 2016

This year marks the 30th edition of SPACE, a key tradeshow for the livestock sector. The event will take place in Rennes and at the briefing, there will the opportunity for attendees to partake in an international B2B meetings (approx. 30 minutes per meeting) to discuss commercial or technological partnerships and this element of the event will be led by the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN).

In 2015, SPACE comprised of 1,446 exhibitors and 106,226 visitors and now in its 30th year, it is a key event on the calendar for livestock professionals.

The key sectors represented by exhibitors include:

  • Animal feed
  • Animal health
  • Breeding, artificial insemination, hatcheries
  • Farm equipment
  • Farm buildings
  • Farm waste treatment
  • Handling, lifting, loading and transport on the farm
  • Agro-energy

Companies seeking innovative products, equipment and services can view the livestock’s latest technological innovations.

Participation in the EEN matchmaking event is free of charge. Register on or before 2 September.

Electro Mobility in Smart Cities, Gothenburg (Sweden), 21st-September 2016

Electro mobility in smart cities is a venue for national and international stakeholders from industry, academia and the public sector. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet national and international decision and policy makers from the private and public sectors; including representatives from transport companies, companies within the area of electro mobility, international expertise, professionals and researchers in the area of electro mobility and smart cities. The event will consist of conference seminars, study tours and matchmaking.

The seminars will specifically focus on passenger and public transportation, as well as freight transportation. Emphasis will be placed on the importance of a well-working charging infrastructure, traffic and data safety. There will be guest speakers from cities across the world and local expertise will be at hand to discuss topics such as:

  • What is a smart city in the context of electro mobility?
  • What impact do electric buses have on urban planning?
  • What can smart cities do to accelerate electro mobility?

In addition to the conference, attendees will also have the opportunity to partake in study visits which are designed to facilitate learnings on Gothenburg’s smart city strategy. Participants will learn about the city’s projects, challenges, possibilities and solutions that have been used in the city. See here for further information.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to engage in pre-booked one-to-one meetings to find new partners for future projects and to exchange knowledge and experience in the electro mobility area. This element of the event will target private companies, as well as public authorities and research institutes/universities.
