Government Stimulus Package

Dear Chamber Member,

Government has this evening, July 23rd, published the July Jobs Stimulus, which is intended to help businesses get back on their feet, protect jobs, build confidence in the market, and prepare for a more sustainable economic future.

As with previous Government supports, proof will be the accessibility and clarity for business and the community. We will review the details of the supports and will liaise closely with Chamber members to assess the effectiveness of these schemes.

The stimulus covers a range of measures including:

* The extension and expansion of the Restart Grant

* The new Employment Wage Support Scheme to succeed The Temporary Wage Subsidy Scheme
* The extension of the Rates Waiver eligibility 

* A new Restart Fund for the Tourism sector 

* Details on the Credit Guarantee Scheme, along with other liquidity and investment measures

* Investment in training, education and skills development 

* Additional funding for active travel infrastructure
