Pathway to Economic Resilience

A Cork Business Community Survey

Dear Chamber Member,

As we progress through the phases of reopening and recovery of our economy, we are asking for your input in our Chambers Survey. Sharing the experiences of your business and the continuing challenges will support our feedback to Government, national bodies and local representatives as we continue to represent your interests and advocate on your behalf.

To date, the data which has been derived from these surveys has underpinned Chamber advocacy in a number of areas including; extending the Commercial Rates waiver; in getting support from the central fund to assist the local authorities which are suffering a budgetary short fall; in shifting the government’s focus from loans to grants, for creating a grant fund for sole-traders, helping to include proprietary directors in the altered EWSS which is to commence early September. It has been very encouraging to see Government respond to our collective voice, but more needs to be done.

We will continue to advocate on your behalf and to support greater economic resilience through our Sustainable Cork ProgrammeAt any time please feel free to contact me on conor@corkchamber.ie or 087 9471858.

Take care,

Conor Healy
