European Commission public consultation on e-Commerce & Retail Sector
The European Commission is undertaking a public consultation to identify (i) the implications of e-commerce and changing consumer habits on the retail sector and its regulatory framework and (ii) opportunities and obstacles for the integration of the EU retail market.
The subject matter of this consultation is one that has been identified as a key concern for the retail sector and has been an area of focus for the Retail Consultation Forum. We would therefore encourage all members to complete the survey and for representative bodies to pass it to their members for completion. The consultation process runs until 8th October 2017.

Harley Street Pedestrian/ Cycle Bridge
Cork City Council propose to construct a pedestrian & cycle bridge over the north channel of the River Lee linking Merchant’s Quay and St Patrick’s Quay opposite Harley's Street in Cork City Centre.
The project aims to provide improved pedestrian and cycle connectivity in general, with particular benefits for travel between Kent Station & McCurtain Street on the northern side of the channel and Parnell Place, the City Centre & the Bus Station on the southern side. A public submissions process is currently open and Cork Chamber invite you to either contact Michelle by email by noon, Monday 28th August, if you have observations for consideration as part of the Cork Chamber submission or to make a submission directly to the process.
