Occupational First Aid 3 Day PHECC FAR Certification
Starts November 19th - €350 for Chamber Members
The 3 Day First Aid Response (FAR) certification is suitable for individuals/employees that wish to meet the HSA requirements for Occupational First Aid, under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work act, 1989.
Since the 1st June 2018, the HSA only recognises the PHECC FAR standard as meeting the needs of occupational first aid in workplaces (Previously known as FETAC L5 Occupational First Aid)
This is a comprehensive course that will provide the participant with a first aid skill set including cardiac first response. The course delivers first aid and basic life support (BLS) to allow an individual to act as a “First Aid Responder”.

Beyond Brexit: 3 ways that the EU can support Irish business.
Last month, we travelled to Brussels for the 5th edition of the European Parliament of Enterprises: the largest exercise at European level in economic democracy.
There, we had the opportunity to address key EU figures, including Trade Commissioner, Cecelia Malmstrom and Chief Brexit Negotiator, Michel Barnier. Together, we spoke about the priorities of Irish entrepreneurs and how to make European policy more business-friendly.

Vodafone launch new #FutureOfSMEs Report
Vodafone launch new #FutureOfSMEs report yesterday. To compile this report, Vodafone commissioned research with Amárach of nearly 600 participants, including SME employers and employees and gathered a panel of SME industry experts and representatives. They spoke to them about their growth, ways of working, investment, technology, skills and training.
Findings show that 77% of employees are in favour of remote, flexible or smart working practices but only 9% of SME owners are fully embracing it.

The Level 6 Certificate in Supervisory Management develops high-calibre professionals, distinct in their abilities, understanding, skills and knowledge associated with a supervisory role in any profession organisation.
The Certificate is a six month part-time programme accredited by Cork Institute of Technology. Co-developed by CIT and IT Tralee, the programme incorporates academic expertise alongside industry partners through the South West Regional Skills Forum and is supported by Cork Chamber Skillnet & BioPharma Chem Skillnet.
