Cork Excels at Local Government Awards

Cork City and County Councils excelled at the Excellence in Local Government Awards, taking home 4 out of total 16 prizes in front of their peers at an award show held last week by our colleagues in Chambers Ireland to celebrate the dedicated work of local authorities.

The winning projects were:

  • Dunmanway Community Garden – Cork County Council (Supporting Active Communities Category)
  • Competitive Dialogue Housing Delivery Process – Cork City Council (Local Authority Innovation Category)
  • Spike Island, Cork Harbour – Cork County Council (Heritage and Built Environment Category)
  • Hollyhill Library Services for Children with Autism – Cork City Council (Disability Services Provision Category)

Big congratulations to everyone in both Councils helping making these projects such a success!

Enterprise Ireland “Be Prepared” Brexit Funding Support for SMEs

The “Be Prepared Grant” offers eligible SMEs up to €5000 in support funds to cover consultancy, travel and travel expenses associated with researching the direction of their action plan. This plan would likely include looking into moving into new markets and market segments. Before applying, candidates can complete a Brexit Scorecard available from the Enterprise Ireland website, where the online application system can also be found.

To access the Brexit Scorecard, the online application system and more information about eligibility for the grant, visit the dedicated Enterprise Ireland webpage here

The 7 Habits for Managers equips team leaders to address these basic issues and improve how they achieve sustainable results through and with others. This solution distinctly focuses on who a manager IS, not just what they DO.

Its uniqueness is the lens of the 7 Habits framework — and the way it applies new mind sets, skills, and tools towards becoming a great leader who can consistently deliver results.

Whether leaders have been in their roles for some time, are brand new, or are emerging leaders, this program will enable them to effectively lead and manage their teams.
